A Beautiful English Garden Wedding at The (aptly named) Garden Barn, Suffolk

The Garden Barn wedding

Meadows, Sunshine and Gelato

So Nick & Lindsey chose to stand in front of all their family and friends to say that, actually, they’re quite happy to spend the rest of their lives together, and they did it at the pretty stunning Garden Barn, in Suffolk.  They are the loveliest of couples and their relaxed demeanour matched perfectly with their ‘English Garden’ wedding vibe.  Take a peek at their amazing day and if you like what you see, get in touch!

Morning antics

Lindsey and her bridesmaids stayed the night at the cutest little cottage on the estate. This meant they were only a stones throw from the venue when the time came to walk down the aisle.  It was a perfect space to relax and take the morning in their stride.

I loved hanging out with Lindsey and team bride while my second shooter, Caroline, spent time with Nick and his family.  They weren’t too far away from us at Nick’s family home down the road.

Despite the relaxed vibes we did have a couple of unexpected events;  A visit from a hornet bee and discovering unwanted marks on Lindsey’s dress.  This didn’t even make the bride bat an eyelid since I think Lindsey was possibly the most chilled bride ever.  We did get rid of the marks – don’t worry! Baby wipes to the rescue! I remember Lindsey saying, ‘If that’s the worst that’s going to happen, then that’s ok.’ See? Chilled.

Giggling ‘I dos’

The ceremony was just gorgeous.  There was uncontrollable giggling from the bride which rippled through to family and friends watching on.  Once composed again, Nick and Lindsey sealed the deal with a kiss and then celebrated with confetti being thrown, quite directly, at them! After some time mingling and being congratulated on their new Mr & Mrs status, Nick, Lindsey and I snapped a few portraits amongst the giant trees towards the end of the lawn.  What a perfect shady spot for some photos on a beautiful sunny day.

As this was a hotter than hot day early in the summer, it ensured a stunning golden hour and we took advantage of it!  The Garden Barn has a beautiful wild flower meadow just a little further down the track from the barn.   We strolled down, giving these two a quiet moment away from celebrations and a few gorge portraits after many marvellous speeches made by family.

Meanwhile, guests sat on the immaculate lawn, gladly eating their ‘gelato’ and soaking up the sun and all the goodness of the day. It was truly a pleasure to be invited along to join you both!
