Olivia & Finn had the most beautiful and relaxed garden wedding at Olivia’s family (and their lovely neighbour’s) homes in Kent. This gorgeous tipi wedding was even more special as Olivia and Finn live in Portugal and had not seen family and friends all together for quite some time due to the pandemic.
Olivia got ready in her family home, just down the lane from the rolling fields that formed the backdrop of their ceremony ‘room.’ It was stunning. To compliment the natural setting, Olivia and her mum hand picked wildflowers at Blooming Green to create their own bouquets.
Guests were able to casually chat and mingle until Olivia appeared. She was accompanied by her sisters, nieces and nephews and her dad, as she walked through the gardens towards Finn. The whole ceremony was lovely and in keeping with their relaxed style.
This laidback atmosphere continued with the reception as everyone was able to catch up and celebrate, enjoying the sunshine and the canapés before Finn managed to provoke a few tears (happy ones) from his bride and guests with his charming speech.
More wonderful words from the father of the bride, were to follow later in the tipi, and after everyone had enjoyed delicious Van Dough pizzas. This was followed by a lot of admiration for Olivia and Finn’s beautiful wedding cake, a Francis Quinn creation (Bake Off fans will know!) It was so exquisitely decorated with flowers, bees and all things delicious!
The party continued with the first dance, played by Funk City Party Band, who entertained musically and comically throughout the night. I do believe the Dirty Dancing scene was re-lived successfully on the dance floor, under excellent guidance! Olivia and Finn’s wedding was a truly wonderful, relaxed day celebrating with their important people.
