What a treat it was to photograph Kaidi & Fouad’s wedding at Home House, London. Everywhere you looked there was something to catch your eye and make you smile. Some of my favourites were a bear wearing a Hogwarts clock, a bar made of violins and that beautiful staircase! It was so much fun to capture their day in this elegant, cool and eccentric venue. Another benefit of getting married at Home House is having private access to Portman Square which made a perfect backdrop for some gorgeous couple portraits. Kaidi’s dress, from Ghost, was so sleek and elegant, she looked beautiful and Fouad matched up well in his suit from Oliver Brown.
Kaidi & Fouad were looking forward to spending their day with family and having them witness their ceremony which took place in the stunning Octagon Room. They played an important part within the ceremony as Kaidi & Fouad included warming of the rings. This is where their wedding bands were passed to each family member to warm in their hands, with a prayer or good wishes for the couple. Such a lovely tradition to include. They also chose to have a unity of sand ceremony. Kaidi & Fouad each poured sand from separate vessels into a central one, representing how they have come together in marriage.
After such a beautiful ceremony, everyone enjoyed canapés and champagne in their own private bar area which made for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere as family celebrated together. The festivities continued with private dinning in an intimate and special setting. A truly beautiful day spent together in a truly beautiful venue.
