Magical December Wedding at The Ned, London

The Ned, London Wedding Photographer

The Ned, London, at Christmas will most definitely get you into the festive spirit, as will celebrating an amazing wedding with your friends and family. Laura and Jack had the best day with everyone they love together on the 6th floor of The Ned, which they had exclusively for their celebrations. With a banquiting suite, ceremony come dance hall, a private lounge and two amazing balconies overlooking London’s sky line, it was quite a feast for the eyes wherever you looked!

I truly loved documenting Laura and Jack’s festive day in this amazing London venue. It was wonderful to be surrounded by beautiful Christmas Trees and twinkling lights in every room. I always think it’s so lovely to have these decorations already in place for your day at a December wedding – it just adds a bit of extra magic to everything. The ceremony room, with chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings and large ornate windows draped in velvet curtains, needed little help to feel opulent and beautiful.  A Christmas tree decked in gold and silver helped to frame Laura and Jack as they stood centre stage, in front of their guests to say their vows.

The day, however, began in Laura’s suite, another beautiful room with its own private balcony, where she and her bridal party were getting ready for the events ahead – they all looked beautiful and were able to enjoy getting ready together in this spacious room – toasting the bride before heading downstairs, where guests were arriving on the 6th floor, in their best black tie attire, and Jack was greeting everyone. There was an excited energy from the start.

The ceremony was beautiful and included readings from close friends as well as many moments of laughter and love. We headed to the private balcony which overlooks St Paul’s Cathedral for some couple and group portraits just after they had tied the knot.  This also allowed a moment for Laura and Jack to realise that they were now married and for immediate family to congratulate them both. We also headed through the lobby of The Ned and to the streets of London for some more portraits of the newly wed couple, braving the chill in the air and taking advantage of being in central London.

There were drinks and canapés in the lounge and on the balconies to entertain guests before heading into the wedding breakfast which was held in the wood panelled banqueting suite, known as The Tapestry Room, with two long tables beautifully decorated and of course, more Christmas trees. The speeches given by Laura’s step-father, best women & men as well as the groom himself were amazing and the cause of a lot of laughter which was wonderful to capture in the moment.

The laughter continued after dinner when everyone congregated in the former ceremony room, which had transformed in to a dance hall, for the Hora, but guests were also witness to a surprise YMCA routine from family and friends.  It was definitely a welcome surprise and warmed everyone up for the live band that entertained throughout the rest of the evening. This wedding really was full of fun, festivity and lots of love and laughter. It was so wonderful to be able to capture it all within the exclusive 6th floor of The Ned, for Laura and Jack.
