A Fun, Modern, London Wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall & The Harcourt
The lovely Adéle and Lewis’ London wedding was just so much fun! I loved capturing their day which was full of emotion and colour! I met Adéle and her bridal party at Chateau Denmark, London, where they had stayed the night before. The celebrations began early that morning as they all got ready together, before hailing a taxi to whizz them over to Old Marylebone. The bridal party headed inside to join the rest of the guests, whilst Adéle popped into the pub across the road to meet her dad. They then both reappeared in Adéle’s dad’s classic sports car – talk about arriving in style!
The ceremony took place in Old Marylebone’s Westminster suite which is their biggest ceremony room and ever so beautiful with it’s wood panelled walls and floor to ceiling windows. The decor’s not only grand and impressive but it also creates a warm atmosphere with the dark panels of wood surrounding everyone inside. It was filled with friends and family and Lewis was able to greet their guests while waiting for Adéle to walk down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt but there was laughter throughout this day too.
With the ceremony completed, Adéle and Lewis left the Westminster suite and the Old Marylebone Town Hall in a shower of brightly coloured confetti which was enthusiastically thrown by their friends and family! We captured some group shots on the steps before taking a few moments to capture Adéle and Lewis together as husband and wife.
Adéle and Lewis had arranged for their guests, and their two little dachshunds who had met them outside, to travel on an old route master bus to the reception venue, but they had decided to have a smaller wedding breakfast with only their immediate family and closest friends attending in a private room upstairs in The Harcout. It was really lovely to enjoy this relaxed and intimate time with their closest family and friends before celebrating with all their guests downstairs in the evening for what can only be described as a night of excellent dancing all round. There was cake, there was dancing and there were two dresses to help party the night away in!
It was so much fun and a real pleasure to capture Adéle and Lewis’ wedding day with all the love and laughter that it contained. Congratulations to you both!
