Islington Town Hall & The Narrowboat
Tilini and Daniel chose to get married in London and held their intimate ceremony at the iconic Islington Town Hall, surrounded by their closest friends and family who had travelled in for the weekend. They opted for Room 99, one of the smaller ceremony spaces at Islington Town Hall, which is perfect for relaxed, low-key weddings. The room itself is elegant and understated, and the muted décor worked beautifully to highlight Tilini’s striking red dress.
Guests gathered outside the Town Hall as they arrived, giving Daniel a chance to greet everyone and take a few quiet moments before the ceremony. Tilini and Daniel had decided they wanted to share a first look before walking down the aisle together, so Daniel waited in anticipation to see Tilini for the first time. It was a really special moment — just the two of them — before heading inside to get married.
The ceremony itself was full of warmth and laughter, which is always such a joy to capture. There were plenty of heartfelt moments too, and it was lovely to see not only how happy Tilini and Daniel were, but how much love and support surrounded them from their friends and family.
After the ceremony, the group made their way to The Narrowboat, enjoying a gentle walk through the neighbourhood on a bright, sunny day. Along the way, we stopped at Compton Terrace Gardens for a few relaxed group and couple portraits — a little hidden green space that worked perfectly for photos without feeling staged.
Once at The Narrowboat, everyone was welcomed with Aperol Spritz to toast the newlyweds while enjoying the private downstairs space overlooking the canal. The whole day felt effortlessly relaxed and very “London” — intimate, joyful, and focused on simply being together. It was such a pleasure to capture this beautiful celebration for Tilini and Daniel.
