A Spring Ceremony at Danson House, London

Amber and Leo chose to celebrate their micro wedding at Danson House, an elegant historic villa set within the gardens of Danson Park in London. Surrounded by greenery and overlooking the lake, it’s a beautiful setting for couples planning a relaxed, intimate ceremony with character and charm.

Danson House offers a number of rooms for ceremonies, each with its own atmosphere. Amber and Leo were married in the Grand Dining Room, an ornate space that can accommodate up to 65 guests. Filled with artwork and gilded details, the room feels both grand and welcoming. Large bay windows flood the space with natural light, creating a bright, airy feel — ideal for photography and for a calm, unhurried ceremony.

Their ceremony was genuinely moving, filled with quiet moments and shared glances that reflected just how meaningful this commitment was for them. With close family and friends surrounding them, the atmosphere felt warm, personal, and deeply considered.

After the ceremony, Amber and Leo stepped outside Danson House for their version of a confetti moment — bubbles. As traditional confetti isn’t permitted at the venue, bubbles are a beautiful alternative and work wonderfully in photographs. Some couples also choose ribbons, which add a similar sense of movement and celebration.

For portraits, we took advantage of the nearby English Garden in Danson Park, just opposite the villa. With colourful flowers and soft green backdrops, it’s a perfect spot for both group photographs and relaxed couple portraits. The setting gave us plenty of variety without needing to travel far, keeping the day flowing naturally.
