Italy Chic, Laid-Back Wedding Weekend in the Tuscan Countryside | Part I

Italy is one of the most beautiful places I’ve had the pleasure of visiting, and capturing Suze and Andy’s chic, relaxed wedding weekend in Tuscany was an absolute dream. They always knew they wanted to get married in Italy, and Tenuta La Borriana, set amongst rolling hills, olive groves and elegant cypress trees, felt like the perfect place to host their celebrations.

The historic farmhouse offered just the right balance of beauty and intimacy — with space for Suze and Andy, their families and wedding party to stay nearby, while additional guests were accommodated in hotels just a short drive away. Private taxis (or fun buses!) brought everyone together for the celebrations each day, meaning guests could relax, soak up the atmosphere and truly settle into the weekend. Though, truthfully, no one really wanted to leave.

The wedding celebrations began the day before with a relaxed pizza party by the infinity pool, where guests gathered for the first time as the sun dipped behind the Tuscan hills. The backdrop was breathtaking — golden light, sweeping countryside views and the soft hum of conversation as friends and family eased into the weekend with drinks in hand.

Despite being a traditional trattoria, Tenuta La Borriana delivered an unforgettable feast. The pizzas were plentiful, delicious and served with the kind of effortless hospitality Italy does so well. I still find myself thinking about them!

This was a wedding weekend designed to be unhurried, joyful and deeply personal — a true reflection of Suze and Andy’s approach to celebrating with the people they love most.
