Beautiful Places. Real Connection.
Destination wedding photography that still feels like your day.
I’m drawn to incredible settings, but even more than that, I’m drawn to the people within them.
A mountain ceremony. Dinner beside a lake. A villa somewhere warm. An old European city. The setting becomes part of the story — but it never matters more than the people in it.
My approach is documentary at heart, with a little guidance when it’s useful.
Beautiful photographs, without making your wedding revolve around having them taken.

KIND WORDS

THE WEDDINGS I LOVE TO PHOTOGRAPH
It’s the people, the atmosphere and the freedom of the day.
I love a beautiful destination. Somewhere with incredible light, architecture, landscape, food and a real sense of place — absolutely.
But I love a wedding with room to breathe even more.
The ones where you can actually sit down and eat the food you chose. Where dinner runs a little late because everyone is talking. Where people spill outside with drinks as the light changes. Where the plan gives the day shape without making everyone feel as though they’re following a schedule.
A destination doesn’t need turning into a photoshoot just because it’s beautiful.
I want to make the most of where we are, while still letting your wedding feel like your wedding.
Whether that’s fifty people in the mountains, a long dinner somewhere in Italy or a weekend somewhere completely new to me, the thing I’m interested in is the same:
what it actually felt like to be there.

What made Alex’s photos so distinctive is she really captured special moments and emotions throughout the day.”
— Elenore & Bobby

“You were so kind, such a calming presence the entire day.”
— Katie & Ethan
HI, I’M ALEX.
I photograph weddings because I genuinely love the people side of them.
I notice the things going on around the edges.
Who someone looks at when they’re trying not to cry. The conversations happening while everyone else is watching something else. The moment your shoulders drop after the ceremony because the thing you’ve been building towards for months has actually happened.
I also love beautiful spaces, good food, a great restaurant, unfamiliar streets, interesting architecture and all the visual details that make one wedding feel completely different from another.
But I don’t think any of those things matter without the people in them.
I’m naturally quite calm on a wedding day. I’ll step in when something needs organising, give you direction when it will help and quietly adapt when plans change — but I’m never looking to take over the room or make the day revolve around photography.
After years of photographing weddings, I’ve learnt that a big part of the job is knowing when to help, when to anticipate something and when to simply let the moment happen.
That judgement matters to me.
You don’t need to manage the photography for me. That’s part of what you’re trusting me to do.
I’m based in London and photograph weddings across the UK and further afield.

How I photograph a wedding.

I’m not interested in manufacturing a version of your wedding for photographs.
For most of the day, I’m watching.
People arriving. Hands being squeezed. Friends catching each other’s eye during the ceremony. Drinks being poured. Children doing completely their own thing. Someone laughing halfway through a speech.
Those are often the photographs that become more important as time passes.
I care deeply about how the photographs look too.
Light, composition, colour, architecture and all the visual details of a place matter to me — I just don’t want to manufacture a moment in order to use them.
That’s where the documentary and editorial sides of my work meet.
There will, of course, be moments when a little direction helps. I’ll find good light, suggest where to stand, help you into something that feels natural and step in when you need me to.
Years of photographing weddings in all kinds of spaces, light and weather means I’m very used to adapting as the day unfolds. If plans shift, the light changes or things run a little differently to expected, I’ll work with what’s actually happening and keep things feeling calm and natural.
So you won’t be left wondering what you’re supposed to be doing every time I lift the camera.
A little guidance when you need it. Plenty of space when you don’t.

“You’re a magician!! I can’t believe they’re of us. They feel like works of art.”
— Annie & Piers

“You encapsulated all emotions so perfectly.”
— Safia & Istvan

The Things in Between
People, details and a sense of place.

“The day definitely wouldn’t have run so smoothly without you.”
— Emma & Elliot
AND YES, WE CAN TAKE THE FAMILY PHOTOS.
Documentary doesn’t mean refusing to organise a family photograph.
If having photographs with your parents, grandparents, siblings or closest friends matters to you, we’ll make sure we take them.
I just don’t want them to take over your wedding.
We’ll agree the important combinations beforehand and keep things simple and efficient on the day, leaving you plenty of time to actually be with those people rather than spending an hour assembling them into different formations.

ONE WAY TO WORK TOGETHER
You don’t need to choose from lots of arbitrary packages.
For most destination weddings, I start with one collection that gives us enough time for the day to unfold properly without the photography dictating the pace.
If you’re planning celebrations across more than one day, we can shape something around that too.

“We felt completely relaxed in front of the camera the entire day.”
— Kate & Joe
THE DESTINATION STORY
£4,750
UP TO 12 HOURS
For destination weddings where you want the whole shape of the day — and the place you chose for it — remembered.
The quieter part before everything begins. The ceremony. Your people. The landscape. Portraits without disappearing from the wedding for hours. Dinner, speeches, drinks and whatever happens once everyone properly lets go.
Twelve hours gives us enough room to photograph generously without making every minute feel scheduled around the camera.
There’s time for the photographs you know you want, but also for everything you couldn’t have planned for.
That matters to me.
Because very often, those are the photographs that tell the story best.

THE PLANNING PART
You don’t need to know how long family photographs take, where the light will work best, whether we’ve allowed enough time between locations or what happens if the weather changes.
That’s my side of the job.
Closer to the wedding, we’ll talk through the timings, the photographs that matter to you and anything else I need to know beforehand.
From there, I’ll put together a day plan for the photography, so we’ve thought through where everything naturally fits and anything that needs a little forethought.
For destination weddings, I’ll also look properly at the location, travel between venues, light, access and anything else that may affect how the day flows.
Then, when the wedding arrives, you can get on with actually being there.
A plan where it’s useful. Flexibility where it matters.

PLANNING MORE THAN ONE DAY?
Some destination weddings don’t begin and end with the wedding itself.
If you’re planning a welcome dinner, drinks the evening before, a pool party, brunch or another celebration across the weekend, I can build coverage around the parts that genuinely matter rather than forcing everything into a standard package.
We can talk through what you’re planning and work out where photography would add something — and where it probably wouldn’t.
More coverage where it adds to the story. Not simply more hours for the sake of it.
GETTING THERE IS PART OF MY JOB TOO
If you’re asking me to photograph your wedding somewhere abroad, I don’t expect you to manage my travel as well.
I’ll plan my journey carefully and travel with enough time in hand that I’m not relying on a same-day flight, tight connection or last-minute arrival to get me to your wedding.
I’ll also familiarise myself with the area and the logistics of the day beforehand, so when I arrive I’m there to photograph — not to create another thing for you to organise.
For most European weddings, my travel and accommodation are included within the collection price, so you have one clear figure to budget for.
For particularly remote locations or journeys requiring unusual arrangements, I’ll always confirm anything additional with you before booking.
You look after your wedding. I’ll look after getting myself there.

HOWEVER LONG I’M THERE, THE APPROACH DOESN’T CHANGE.
I don’t photograph a twelve-hour wedding as though every minute needs filling with photographs.
I’m looking for the same things throughout.
People. Connection. Atmosphere.
Beautiful light when we find it.
A strong sense of where you chose to celebrate.
And the moments that happen because you’ve stopped thinking about being photographed.
My style, your story.

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE
Every collection includes a carefully curated gallery of individually edited photographs in my signature style.
But the gallery isn’t just somewhere to download your photographs.
It’s where you’ll find the moments you remember, alongside the ones you didn’t even know were happening — the people you couldn’t see, the reactions happening behind you and all the smaller parts of the day that were unfolding while you were somewhere else.
Your photographs are delivered in high resolution through a private online gallery, where you can download them, create favourites and share a separate guest link with the people you love.
There’s also an integrated print store if you’d like to order professional prints afterwards.
I’ll send you a small selection of preview photographs within the first week, while everything still feels fresh.
The full gallery is usually delivered in around 8 weeks, with up to 12 weeks allowed during the busiest part of wedding season.
I’m much more interested in giving you a complete, well-curated story of the day than photographing towards a set number.
“We are over the moon with the images, haven’t stopped looking at them and have completely re-lived the day.”
— Lizzie & Gavin

A LITTLE 35MM FILM
I’ve started bringing a small film camera along to some weddings too.
I love the slight unpredictability of 35mm — the grain, the colour and the fact that you don’t know exactly what you’ve made until the film comes back.
Where it feels right for the wedding, I may photograph a small part of the day on film alongside my digital work.
For now, I see it as another creative layer rather than something that needs to become a separate photoshoot or interrupt the way I work.

ALBUMS
Your photographs don’t have to live on a screen.
Albums can be added after the wedding, once you’ve had time to live with your gallery and work out which photographs matter most to you.
I work with beautiful professionally made albums in a range of sizes, papers and finishes, and I’m very happy to help with the design when you’re ready.

SECOND PHOTOGRAPHERS
For some weddings, having another photographer alongside me makes sense.
That might be because you’re getting ready in two different places, because there are a lot of guests, or simply because the logistics of the day mean we can tell the story more completely from two perspectives.
It isn’t automatically necessary for every wedding.
If I think your plans would genuinely benefit from a second photographer, I’ll let you know and we can talk through what would make sense for the day.
For destination weddings, the cost will depend on the amount of coverage needed and the travel involved, so I’ll always price this specifically around your plans rather than adding a standard fee.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE’RE A GOOD FIT?
Once you feel I’m the right person to photograph your day, I’ll put together your quote and contract through my online booking system.
You can look through everything at your own pace and sign electronically.
A 35% booking fee secures your date, with the remaining balance due 60 days before the wedding.
And then?
You can go back to planning your wedding.
I don’t need every timing, every group photograph or every little detail immediately.
We’ll come back to the photography properly once the shape of the wedding is established, and if it would be useful, we can always arrange a call or FaceTime too.
And if questions come up along the way, or you’d like a recommendation for a supplier or somewhere to start with part of the planning, I’m always happy to help where I can.
I want the planning to feel useful — not like another job I’ve given you.
ONE LAST THING
By the time your photographs matter most, the wedding itself will already be over.
The flowers will have gone, the dinner will have been eaten and everybody will have gone home.
What I want to give you isn’t a version of the day that looked perfect from the outside.
It’s something that takes you back to what it felt like from the inside.
The people.
The atmosphere.
The big bits.
The tiny ones.
All of it together.
“You captured the best day of my life in the most beautiful way and we are so grateful — and we always will be.”
— Katie & Ethan
