When Ellis & Andrew asked me to photograph their wedding at Cambridge Cottage, Kew Gardens, I am not ashamed to say that I did a little happy dance! I absolutely love Kew Gardens and being able to photograph a gorgeous wedding in this botanical dream land was amazing.
Ellis & Andrew were living in Japan at the time, but always knew that their wedding would take place at Kew Gardens as this is where they had their first date (so lovely!) Cambridge Cottage was a perfect choice for them to enjoy time with friends and family from all over the world, some of whom hadn’t even met before! After a heartfelt ceremony, Ellis & Andrew were able to greet their guests and enjoy Cambridge Cottage’s very own private garden where their family and friends could meet, mingle and enjoy their surroundings in a beautiful and relaxed venue.
A short (and fun) buggy ride around the iconic sites that Kew Gardens offers, meant that there was some time alone for Ellis & Andrew to take in their newly married status while we took some couple portraits. Visiting the Palm House, Mediterranean Garden and Temple of Aeollus, we were able to capture some truly beautiful photos.
The celebrations continued with some lovely speeches and a delicious banquet before Ellis & Andrew cut their gorgeous cake and had their first dance, accompanied by Bangers & Brass. The party had begun! I’ll let the photographs speak for themselves.
